What does BWRT stand for?
BWRT stands for Brain Working Recursive Therapy. BWRT uses the way we understand the brain functions and processes information.
The Brain is constantly processing millions of pieces of information from inside and outside of the body. Most of this processing is done unconsciously in that we don’t have to consciously think about what to do such as pumping blood via the heart, extending and contracting muscles as we walk to shaping our mouth as we talk.
As individal human beings who have unique ways of being themselves with traits, habits, and response to life events, we can sometimes get stuck with an unhealthy or unhelpful response to some external stimulus. If you saw your mother reacting with fear to the sight of a spider, you also might learn to do the same thing from her behaviour. As this fear response gets repeated and it becomes a natural reaction that the brain instigates very very quickly.
As an adult your reaction to spiders may be something you want to change. BWRT helps you to make that change.
With the guidance of a trained BWRT practitioner your Brain is encouraged to reprocess your original reaction to seeing a spider to a more desired behaviour. BWRt is a very rapid therapy and most people ned just 1 to 2 sessions for help with a phobia.
